When the Law Rules

When the law rules, one option (there are several, none of them good) is that you end up with a religion of perpetual outrage.  People tearing up posters for religious events, and stomping on them.  People getting arrested for tearing up posters and then sentenced to life in prison!

Eugene Volokh has a report, and a great snarky comment at the end (a la Jonathan Swift) :

No word on which sect breaks eggs on the larger end and which on the smaller.
